OUR TV DAYS 1989-2008

In 1989 when I was managing Auckland Radio station 89FM and we had reached the No1 position in the market, I was headhunted and joined national TV giant TVNZ. My TV career began as TVNZ's Head of Presentation and Promotion and then I was appointed Programme Director. During this time my wife JT worked at major TV production house TOUCHDOWN. I resigned from TVNZ in 1994 and shortly after moved to Belgium as Group Programme Director for SBS, programming Brussels based station VT4 as part of my brief.

In 1996 we returned to New Zealand with me joining Sky TV as Director of Programming and Marketing. In 2000, on resigning from Sky, JT and I created the lifestyle TV channel, THE LIVING CHANNEL which became part of Sky TV's channel line up. In 2002 we started an additional channel FOOD TV.

Late 2007 we sold our majority share in the business and retired.

this video is a look at the friends, colleagues and family that made our TV years so fulfilling.
